Spring is here it seems. At least it is starting to feel that way. The grass is getting green, tulips are popping up, and, most importantly, motorcycles and cars all across the warmer but still frosty sections of North America are starting to come out of hibernation.

Today I pulled both my M3 and CB1100 out after months in the garage hooked up to life support. Well, battery tenders, but similar. Both went for short drives, and tomorrow they will get cleaned and oil changes, air filters, and a thorough examination before really hitting the streets. As for more major stuff, new tires for my M3 on Tuesday, and maybe a valve adjustment for my CB1100 next weekend.

How's it looking at your place?

And yes, my driveway needs to be refinished. It is on the list. Also, I know my soffit needs attention. That whole section of the house is having a new subroof installed in May, so worry not.

Sorry I missed this! Thanks! It's cute, for sure. But a huge PITA, and a bit too small. We've started to plan for putting a fair-sized garage/studio in the back yard. Where we live homes are obscenely affordable. It would sicken you to know how cheap this was.

We are still cold here but the ice and snow is deceasing daily and I’m likely getting the Miata out of storage very soon.

Really looking forward to this summer with it as I’ll finally have some funds to do upgrades and drive it a lot more.

Right off the bat it’s getting 4 new tires and new front shocks (I put new rears on late last fall)

Still parked, we have gotten an April fools snowstorm before, so not until mid April for the garage queen. :p Then it's probably a 30 min drive on 2 lane roads to get reacquainted.

People here only hibernate during the rare ice/snow storms. It's not cold enough for Tulips, only Daffodils. Warm and rainy this week, upper 60's to upper 70's. I do miss the larger tulip garden we had in NJ, but I only had 6 months of riding weather there for my motorcycle. Here it's year round (no longer have a bike).

We are getting above freezing temps for the next week here in Ottawa, but still weary of pulling out my Ninja. Lots of crap on the roads and 6C is still not warm enough for my blood to go riding.

My ex-garage-queen Mustang doesn't hibernate anymore unfortunately.:banghead:

the s2000 won't be out of storage until at least a month from now, fake spring or not in Michigan, there is still salt on the roads and we are almost guaranteed another snowy blast before the end of the march.

Ditto. The Z needs a little spring maintenance; so I plan on moving it tonight from the storage spot to the workshop to get started.

I generally won't take it out onto the roads until we get 2-3 really GOOD rains. I brought the roadbike out yesterday for a ride and spent too much of the ride trying to get the salty taste out of my mouth. Yuck.

I haven't ridden my motorcycle (06 Ninja 650R) since September 2017. I have a set of ZX6R forks and a custom Racetech shock. Gonna put it all together and enjoy it. I just need riding jeans and a new helmet. It's not worth selling which sucks as I hate the engine. But a bike is a bike

i've always loved the look of the early 650R. the silver with red frame is just so pretty!
but i've heard the engine does vibrate a ton. is that what you're referring to?

As for me, I pulled the Corvette out for the first time a couple weeks ago and was surprised when I got the "change oil soon" notification. I was planning to do it anyways, but it wasn't even a year or 5k miles since I last did it. It was showing 8% oil life and I normally do it at 5k miles which was always 25% on my SS. So I went ahead and did that then took it out Sunday to play on some backroads for a couple hours.

My CBR wasn't too happy about sitting for months and had to be cranked too many times before it finally went. No clue. I had it on a battery tender recently too.

I'm stuck waiting until the end of May to take out the new bike legally, gonna pick up a 2020 IDOT Rules of the Road book, time to study for the MSF. I need to buy riding jeans and plan to get it registered and insured by the end of the month so I can praddle up and down my cul-de-sac street to get decent with clutching, shifting, and braking so I don't make an ass of myself in the actual class.

We had a good rain all day yesterday and the OBXT looks pretty clean but the Jeep needs a bath (which means they both do). My only plans this year are some new bushings, timing belt, and maybe a TMIC upgrade, otherwise its maintenance and just driving it. Three years ago I had ordered the front clip from Hong Kong and had limped it to my Dad's to start the engine swap, at this point I'm happy with the Outback being a functional daily (knock on wood).

I'm so hoping the weather holds since its been a mediocre winter and things are already starting to bloom. Once its really decent the first project is the garage, we're getting a half-dumpster and plan to get rid of all the junk in the house, garage, and anywhere else, and I'll need to do some siding and refinishing. I'm also going to organize the inside, I need to consolidate my stuff, get some big shelves to organize everything, hang bikes, and figure out how to give myself room to work on the TT while still being able to store the Monster.

It’s still up-and-down here, too. I’ve had the Bug out when it was warm after enough rain to wash the salt away, but then we got some snow, so they brined the roads again. Thursday it’s supposed to hit 70°F, but Saturday it will only hit the lower 40s for a high and they’re expecting snow, so I’m expecting salt. 🤨

Maybe next week it’ll come out again sometime if we get some rain. Sigh.

88 here yesterday, then 70's and rain. My wife hibernates in the summer here. Despite growing up in a tropical country, she hates even the dry heat.

No mouse issues this winter. Started right up and a gentle ride home.
It’s sunny but cold here, glad to have it home to do some work on it before I put it into more frequent duty.
