the only thing imho that's cool about the DSG is that down shifting is pure CAKE. it's soo easy and that stock exhaust sounds soooooo perfect

Wow what's up with DSG bashing. In my eyes, it's automatically controlled manual since it doesn't have torque converter. And DSG will own even best manual driver in the world.
MKV looks really nice, can't wait to see what you are going to do with it

While I agree that DSG is much easier to drive than manual, it still requires you to learn how to use it efficiently. I read many threads here where people start enjoying DSG even more after few months of ownership since they learn how to control it better.
Of course, I've only been driving 6 speed manual for a year and I'm still pretty much a newbie when it comes to shifting and smoothnes and I never driven DSG equiped car, so I can't really argue. But, if you never driven one yourself either, you shouldn't speak also.

I am on the side where I love manuals as well-- and I won't be without one for quite some time but, I do agree that when that car is SLAMMED it will look great! If you like driving it over a manual who cares, it's your car

and you can know that I would never steal it
