a 3 anlge valve job, with a gasket matched port&polished head will probably flow about 15% better than a stock head. add a huge cam and some HD springs, and you cn easily get about 20hp out of it.

I have a Eurospec head. It was cast with giant ports to begin with and i bought it new. The best numbers ive seen from 8vs had this head. Very good for an ABA with a giant cam.

I think i paid about 900 for it. That was all built and included Eurospec's 272 cam, which i sold.
I bought it from Shine Racing....they suck so dont buy from them.

Dude, thats the problem... i have a 1.8L high comp block now... i have an ABA but i';m selling it due to difficulties with money. So i'm just going to install the ehad on the 1.8 and run it around.. if i don't like it (too much loss in low end) i'll just swap it back for the GTI head i got now. But the cam i'm running is a Delta CAms 260... not too hurtful for the low end... But i also ave the port matched intake manifold too.
