After my '03 VR6 24V suddenly died in mid-cruise on me on Sunday (then starting up 15 minutes later), I went to get my check engine light tested. Code P0322 came up and the probable causes are listed 1. poor electrical connection. 2. faulty CKP sensor.

I've looked at a number of threads and it seems to be the Crankshaft Sensor/Chank Position Sensor/Engine Speed Sensor. Just wanted to make sure these are all the same thing and that I'm looking at the right parts (below). I'm going to grab a Bosch one and replace it myself. Thanks in advance!

yup you need the engine speed sensor. happened to me a while back. kinda hard to replace unless you remove the front bumper and drop the radiator a little. You'll need a hex to remove..can't remember which size. but once that's removed, screw in new one, plug in and voila...you're done!

btw - speed sensor is located right next to oil filter housing connected to engine block. you can see it from under the car if you remove the plastic engine guard. again removing the bumper makes this much easier...at least for me.
