I need a new clutch
and wanted to look for a good place locally that could put one in. Where would you guys suggest? I'd also like to upgrade to something a LITTLE more aggressive than stock, what have you guys used and liked? The Stealership quoted $800 - $1000 to replace the stock one. Thanks for your help.

Sea Tac, on International BLVD. I usually take the 188th exit off of I-5 and then take a left on to International and go about a mile and its on the right. A little tiny building thats really easy to miss, so keep an eye out....

Ever considered a Sachs sport clutch? The one on my Audi is pretty nice.
Only problem is that it needs to be slipped once or twice when it hasn't been used for a few hours+, to get all warmed up and work well. No big deal.

Does it really matter? We're talking about a clutch with a lifetime warranty...If it stops working or starts slipping...then they fix it. My buddy had his clutch done by them about 6 months ago...cost half what a local VW mechanic would charge. I understand stock parts are cool...but I also know they aren't the only thing that works. I like nice expensive stuff as much as the next guy but I really don't think there's THAT much of a difference. Unless you want a racing clutch or something...I'm speaking solely for repair..not upgrades.

The Sachs Power Clutch is a pile of poo. It's no different than the stock set up, they say the pressure plate is stronger, and I'm sure it is a little, but you honestly can't tell the difference. and the clutch disk only uses a little stronger srpings, I can't tell the difference between thes disks and a 16v disk. I've used both, blew out the power clutch, and wasted three hundred more than the factory 16v setup.
Go to The Wagon Shop in Bellevue. My brother works there, they're reasonably priced and they do awesome work, mostly my bro. Autosport would be my #2 choice, Aaron's really a great guy.

I wasn't talking about the Power Clutch..I was talking about my Sachs Sport Clutch.

Want an example of the difference?
210mm- 1983-1996 8 valve cars with 1.8L engines
Stock 5 speed, with nickel hub disc 10.341.450K $109.95
PowerClutch 5 speed 10.341.649K $349.95
Sport 5 speed 10.341.459K $649.95
