Well here is the deal, on my ass end one each side, where there is a vertical groove (ones is just to the right of the "Corrado" emblem.) and the other is on the oposite side, i have a small stress crack on each side, and my 3 friends who own corrado's all have small ones also? Does anyone else have this too??

haha well we all have cracks in our bums.. but no really.. yea my bumper has cracks all over the place they are weird though.. not actually dents just paint cracks in most places.. they were there when i bought it... i dont know what causes this

Yeah, I got my C second hand with 174 000 km on it and I noticed I had a crack in the paint down the right side where you describe it. My guess is that someone hit the car at one point and since then, has not painted or filled it and painted it properly. But, C'est la vie! I luv my C anyways!

I've seen many C's with not paint cracks but paint bubbling/chipping in that area (all along the panel where the VW logo is). My car actually has some perforations appearing. This happens when water gets in between the panel and the inner panel, usually through the VW logo mount holes or Corrado logo mount holes (are there any for this one?). I pulled off my VW logo and it was missing one of the plastic inserts in the hole...so any water would flow straight in between the inner & outer panels...eventually rusting through to the outside.

Whole outer (inner?) panel need griding down and replacing and either a drain installed or a very through water proofing needs to be done.

mine has the paint bubbling/rusting to the point that there is now a good 3"x2" hole right underneath the corrado logo. I plan on welding in a new piece or possibly try to use some filler and a backing plate later this month. I'll will try to take some pics during the process.

Just remember that the whole panel is likely affected and unless it's replaced, it will also perforate over time.

well i dont think that i explained myself when i posted where the cracks are, its on each side of the ass, just above the bumper on those small groves that run vertically up to the hatch. I have 1 small crack on each side in the paint, so 2 total. does this make it anymore clearer? I dont have any bubbles or sh1t around my emblems or any of that garbage..

That's just the design of the Corrado. They're weld marks, for lack of a better term. Nothing you can do other than sand, fill, smooth, and paint.
