Paint Question

I own a Silver 1991 Jetta, i have no idea about the paint as I am doing bodywork on it. my charcoal grey Jetta (also 1991) has clearcoat. Do Silver Jettas have clearcoat? How can I find out? Is it enamel or acr. paint? If it matters, my car is Canadian, eh.
