I found some hi-temp engine paint that looks close, it's from small-block Chryslers from about '69 to '80. It's about as close as I've seen.

thanks, any idea the paint brand or paint name? how close would you say it matches? did you repaint the letters on your manifold with it?

I don't remember the brand or name; I saw it in the paint section at Wal-Mart. I redid mine in black, just to be different.

just so you know, thick spray paint will work fine- you don't even need the high-temp stuff... your intake manifold doesn't get that hot, nor does it flex at all... I resprayed mine red and black with spray paint- looks better than new

Mine is now red to match the color of the car.. if you must have the "official" blue, it shouldn't be hard to find something close enough to not be able to tell the diff.
I've found that by far the easiest way to paint the letters is with a Testor's paint pen, available for dirt cheap at any hobby store. Handles just like a wide-tip felt tip marker, but flows paint.. does a VERY good job, very fast and you don't even need to be sober, it's so forgiving... <belch>

only the 1.8L were blue, right? i've never seen a later 2.0L painted, and i know mine sure isn't.

One question? Why the heck did they ever paint them they goofy blue to begin with on those few letters??? I never understood it!
