im saying i need to take out a loan so i can get the cf hood and my mom says well cant you get one later. no not for this price. then she twisted stuff around and says i thought you deitrich was the last thing you needed to make your car strait. i say noooo i said after the dietrich alls i needed was a hood for my car to be completely strait!!!! well im still outa work but going back soon so i guess im jumping into the good ol trust fund. oh well i will have parents mad at me but thats what being a kid is all about and my car will look extra sick. sorry im just angry that they dont understand that this is the only thing i ever spend my money on (i mea only thing!!!!) and they dont get it. atleast i aint out buying crack right!!!! damn crack is probally an easier habbit to crush hehe. im done....

Damn it sucks to be you!!! I remember working my arse off to buy an 85 Golf without P/S or A/C when I was 17. But it made me appreciate my cars more. You have a sweet ride why not just be happy with that, I remember sitting in a 92 Corrado at the Ohio car show and saying this is what I want. That was 10 years ago and it took me 7 years from that date to get the car I really wanted. Be happy with what you got, there are lotsa people who envy your car the way it is.

believe me man i couldnt say in words how happy i am to have the cars i have had. im just saying if its not to late i need to get this hood. i need to make my car that much nicer. some people take prozac for medication. well i do stuff to my corrado to stay happy. cars are the only thing that im ever involved with so i have to do it. and im not going to sit here and say that i struggle to have what i have today because i would be lying. but i do work hard for it. and hey to be totally honest if my parents offered to pay for the hood i would pay back every penny, because i want to go to shows and be proud for what ive made my corrado. not my parents. lata....

For me it's hard to comprehend because I have a House a wife and a 17 month old little girl. So if I want something new I have to please the wife and the kid and maintain the house and whatever is left over I get to myself, which is ussually $50 a year ( exageration ) but you get the point. If I want something new then I have to sell a car or take out a mortgage on my house. Your very lucky to have such understanding parents cuz I got the old "get a job" line when I wanted something esspecialy a $700 hood that serves no other purpose but to save 50 pounds from the one thats on the car now that works perfectly well. All I can say is take advantage of it while you can cuz things don't get easier down the road for most people. Greg

yeah i cant even afford to fix whats WRONG with my car... i still need a water pump, O2 sensor, and some new control arm bushings

my hood is damaged. it is an easy fix but i like the cf look. it will deffinently benefit the look that im going for. i am graduating this year and this is the last thing thats aftermarket that i really want so i need to buy well im still living at home for free. i mean next year i will actually have things to spend money on besides my car like helping with college and what not. sooo yea its realy not a need but its something that i have to have....

I try to explain to my parents that everyone has something that they spend their money on that sounds stupid to everyone else. For some people it's expensive clothes or some other hobby. For us it's our cars.

exactly.... i have a friend that buys 130 dollar shoes sometimes twice a month. well when he had a job he did. i dont see any difference in me wanting to spend my money on car parts!!!!

dude... my 'rents are flippin out cause i need a rebuild of my g-lader.... after my jetta ( in the shop more than it was on the road).. you'd think they would understand preventative maintenance... but i guess they don't.. cause they're still all like "why do you need to do that?? the car is running fine..".. which it isn't.. but that's a whole nother bag 'o worms...

When i decided I wanted a turbo for my scirocco way back when (i was 22 and living at home, but just about to move out at the time) I started working side jobs like a mofo (along with my full time job). My mom asked "why are you doing all these jobs and never having any spare time?" and i said 'i wanna go FAST' and she just shook her head and asked how long the car would be laid up in the driveway.
I moved out about that time anyways, and thats no biggie, i was chipping in rent on a friends place before then for a place to party anyways.
They never gave me a dime, just supplied me with a warm place to crash and some meals. As long as i was being a decent person (i was and am) then that was that.
Jump to today... i am 35, have a house and some cars (man, i have had some cars !). I was driving my dad around today (he's 73), and nailed it to make a move through traffic. He was grinning like a kid. "What were you doing under the hood the other day ?" he asks.... Camshaft. "do you ever think about getting another Porsche?" and i respond WHY? He smiles and says "Thats what i was going to say"

Back when i bought my 928, all his neighbors were flapping their jaws, and he just told em "He has a straight job and as long as he never asks me for money, what do I have to say about it".
Anyways, IMO, if you want more mods you work more or get a better job. Don't take out a loan.

My mom used to rip my ass all the time but now she kinda stays outta it

My girlfriend is the A$$HOLE now! Its not the fact that she gets pissed that i spend my money on the rado but, shes always fuc*ing complaining that im "always working on your car" or "your always on that DAMN computer" like right now, im on the computer and shes right behind me PISSED as SH!T!

don't take up the loan man. it's going to make you go deeper and deeper.
get a job first, $600 is not that hard to earn. After winter break job and you will have the $$. Why do you want to be on the tightrope when you are on ground level now?
Parents are mostly right. Esp when they love you. Cars shows can always wait.

Well my folks surely dont want me to buy a Corrado... My mom was like whats a corrado?? I know I really don't need one and from what Im hearing just repairing it would cost the same as financing a 01 something. But when you have the bug you have the bug.... I'm in school and have several semesters before I can get that "real" job. So I know where you are....I had to borrow $1100 from my parents several months back

I just hate borrowing money it makes me feel like such a child....But you have to do what makes you happy so enjoy the ride!!!!

Go for it KIP, get the money! Im on the tight rope now wondering if i should get in on the CF or not, i think i will when i know i shouldnt! I just paid my mom $3500 that i owed her forever.

have you ever considered working the corner man? I'm sure there's a dirty old man in oregon, that's had his eye on you for some time now.. its all for the good of the corrado man, you know how it is..
just think, 10 minutes of excruciating pain, for a nice lightweight carbon fiber hood. hey, we all have our prices. crapping into a bag for a month ain't that bad

just teasing man, that's just for stealing my friggen headlights! and if ya didn't, go over the chris' house and squeeze his nuts for me! bah!

out of subject but, Chris didnt go through on the lights 4 you? THAT SUCKS, thats why i said i would pay 100 more and get them somewhere else, so i wouldnt deal with his flaky ass!
