Parrot bluetooth options

Since the Socialist Republic of California will not allow me to be responsible for my own actions, I plan on getting a Parrot CK3000. (Actually, two of them. One for the wife's 02' Passat as well.)

Now as far as I can tell, I can get the following control kit along with a CK3000 for a total of about $210:

Or, for about $290, I can get this:

I think they use the same main components and are functionally equivalent. I believe the extra $80 for the quickconnect product gets you a plug and play harness instead of having to hard wire it.
So... Do I have this straight? Is there another option I should consider?

I don't think it's you they care about - the legislation is based on protecting OTHERS.
