I had the motor rebuilt last summer as it was completely corroded. Now I found out why. I thought 10 years of use lead to water seepping into the motor, but infact the spray nozel that leads through the center shaft was leaking, and the wiper fluid drained back into the motor. The the other day I noticed that when I tried to clean my window, I was squirtin the guy behind me
The elbo on the spray novel has been broken completely off. (see pic)

So anyway, the question is, whats the part number(s) for this motor. I want to know if it is similar to another VW/Audi wagon so that I can buy it from a wrecker. I also want to know if the center shaft has a part number. If I'm really lucky I can replace just that and save some $$$

HEY!!!! THAT WAS MY 100th POST!!!

Re: Part number for SW rear wiper (Action Jackson)

I hate to bring this up the posting chain, when no one replied before, bit I have seen some of you guys who can look up part numbers and such. Would a rear wiper motor in a Golf (MY?) be the same as the one in my B3? My buddy told me his 01 GTI's rear wiper also has the spray nozel come up through the center. Any help is much appreciated.

Re: Part number for SW rear wiper (saved_GLX)

Check here:
http://catalog.exist.ru/
Pick your model year and then look under "Electrical Equipment". One of the entries is "Rear Wiper Assembly". If you remember to continue clicking the NEXT button at the top, the page will give you a complete list of the part numbers.
Good luck.

Re: Part number for SW rear wiper (Ron L)

Thanx
I had a look at some Golfs this wekend, anyone I saw on the road. They have a different setup where the wiper is offset from center, the spray nozel is centered and separate from the wiper assembly.
I will try to look up that site you recommended Ron. Thank You for all your help

Re: Part number for SW rear wiper (g60 synchro)

Try to get it rebiult! The place that did mine did an amazing job! I didn't recognize it after it was done. Painted nice and black, cleaned and repacked. I'd recomend this place to do business with any time!
By the way, was that $8.00 CND for a new spray nozel jet w/ pipe? from dealer or other source?
