Nope, it won't according to most sources. And when the new Passat comes out, it will likely revert to a transverse engine mount, thereby saying goodbye to Audi parts sharing. No more Torsen quattro renamed to 4MOTION (but probably the Haldex/Synchro system) and likely switching to the VR6 or the new V6 from the Phaeton.

I believe the V6 in the Phaeton is the 3.2 litre VR6. VW has stopped using the VR designation. The horsepower in Passat might not be exactly the same as in the Phaeton; perhaps really identical but rated lower for marketing purposes.
