Passat vr6, 1997 Vs. GTi/Jetta vr6 tranny?

Are these trannies the same 97 vr6 passat, and jetta/gti vr6? inside and out, final drive R&P, ratios...?
please let me know if u know the differences...

You can check the tranny codes - But I beleive they will both be CCM's. Both trannies will have the same gearing and Final drives.
