you said you were in first and just over accelerated I wouldn't worry. The only way you can go past the red line is if you downshift at to high of an rpm an use the wheel speed to force the engine past the redline at which point it will store a code, and you'll be screwed.
But you said you were just in first no downshifting so I wouldn't worry about it warranty wise.
But if your engine was cold, i'd worry about burning oil later one because running it high and fast on a cold engine is not good!
