Same.
The total reported failures of both units can generally be counted
on the fingers of one hand. Gary says he machines the gears
to make them a bit quieter than the Quaife, and the Peloquin
reportedly comes with a slightly beefier bolt kit, but I wouldn't
kick either one out of my tranny. They're both rock solid
units. Probably the strongest component of the drivetrain once installed.
Quaife of America makes a big deal of their lifetime warranty, but Peloquin
has a lifetime warranty as well. The only thing threatening the
continued existence of Peloquin is Quaife of America's infamous
"one time only" lower than wholesale group buys.
Before Peloquin came along you couldn't buy a Quaife for less than
$1200. Now you can get a Peloquin for $720 including bolt kit and
shipped to your door from theScirocco.com
and a Quaife shipped sans bolt kit for $790 from the same place, maybe less
from Autotech directly.. maybe more. Competition is good. Keep em both
in business and we all win. Seriously.

They are both awsome...... I have the Quaife with a Peloquin bolt kit

I would have bought the Peloquin if I did not buy the Quaife during Autotech 20% off sale in Dec.... I ended up paying about the same as the Peloquin....
Either one you choose you will be 1 millions times better off, than if you keep your stock diff in.........

Re: Peloquin or Quaiffe??? What is better?? (climbingcue)

I'm gutted, I've just bought a Quaife, but now I'm going syncro so I can't use it

I'll have to run it in 2WD for a year before I put the VR6 Syncro diff, bellhsouing and transfer box on. At least I'll know how the quaife compares to 4WD. It'll kill my times having to lug that rear diff around though

It's a good job I can still keep this end casing and all the goodies behind it when I do convert it

We prefer the Peloquin's b/c we feel the metallurgy of them is better than the Quaife's. Plus, they come with a bolt kit and speedo drive gear-----and we still sell them for less than the Quaife's!

Re: Peloquin or Quaiffe??? What is better?? (Dean F)

Yea, I talked witha bunch of peloquin owners, and they LOVE THEM! So I am getting the peloquin with bolt and install kit for my 96.5 git vr6 for $790 shipped, not a bad deal, and helps the car accel, turn ins, turn outs, getting the power donw basically. And it also helps sometimes on ice, get better tracction, especially up here in Troy where roads dont get plowed well. Peace
