Has anyone ever heard of this chip? Says it will add 43hp to a 1.8t engine.

PES Tunning is a distributer of Garret/GIAC chip so the chip you are reffering to is in fact GIAC.

I got my GIAC chip from PES. They did a good job, and have updated me to the latest version for free. I'm happy with them.

But does it increase hp on 1.8t 2002 gti up 43 hp like it says

Do a little research dude. Check out GIAC's web site (http://www.giacusa.com), that's a good start. A chip alone will take a 1.8t to around 190-200 hp at the crank, whether you start with a 2000-2001 1.8t (150 hp) or a 2002 (180 hp). If you start with a 2002 180 hp car, a chip alone will NOT add 43 hp.

I highly recommend PES. My friend and I both got our chips from PES, We haven't had any problems yet. The guys at PES are actually very cool people.

pes is very good. a little pricey though. i beleive the chip for awp gets you to about 210hp

They do extract little more hp from awp(2002).
