There are some upside down street signs behind it... wonder if the guy wasn't paying attention and slammed into a pole or something.

What I find interesting is how localized the damage is. Normally, if a car hits a pole or something on that side, wouldn't you expect the force of impact to ripple across the the entire bumper, fenders, hood, etc instead of simply shatter it and taper off? Sounds like we should be applauding instead of scoffing.
