FTW...
It took me 3 months to sort out the offset for the rear before i even bought the wheels. It paid off 10 fold. I can drop it real close. So close i can touch the lip with the fender. I have about a tenth of a MM on each side.
17x9. Started out with 35et. Final is 27et (w/ 8mm spacers).
This is where the rear is sitting

Actually the front is sitting at that height right now. I gotta go out and raise it a bit. The front lip is scrapping everything

my arches are cut all the way around, i had mine dumped on my 16x9s at et 15....
so i have a litle room to play with them i guess.

i think if it is the right set of 17's it works. unfortunately most of the 17's i see look like they are made of tin foil and come from sears.
