I'm working on trying to get ahold of one of the chinese jetta dashes. Hopefully soon. I like the fact that it will just bolt right in.

Bolt right in ... meaning for a jetta and not a MK 2, right?

mk2 jetta is still in production in china, they are used as taxi's.

Um, bolt right in meaning to an MKII, Jetta or Golf considering the dash section of both are identical.

Yo whats up, I'm in Beijing, China for the summer. They are A3 dashes in MK2 jettas all over the place. The front end is different on these newer ones. I have not had a chance to meet anyone who has one but when I do I will try and take as many pics as possible. Also I'm very interested in the engines they are using because I see some with "20 Valve", i wonder if these are 1.8T engines or not. When i find out the info, I will post it up. peace.

I'm about to get started on my MK3 swap... What do you guys do with the VIN #? Do you put the original VIN# of the car on (is yes then how) or do you just keep it with you in case you get asked for it by the cop?
