Pic Request, White mk5 GTi with tints

im getting my car on monday and i was wondering if anyone had a pic of a candy white mk5 2 door gti with black window tint, not dark i want some black ones, i never got them on my mark 4 cuz they look like poo on a black car, but im thinking they look good on a white car, i think it would go good with the black b pillar, anyone got any pics??

If you only tinted one single window, then it would be a window tint. However, multiple windows being tinted requires the use of the plural "tints" to describe that more than 1 window is tinted. Furthermore, if one is just referring to the tinting of a window, that can be referred to as window tint. I believe window tints is an OK term because it accurately describes the situation. Technically, it should be windows tint, thus referring to more than 1 window being tinted, however this sounds stupid and will not be used. "Tinted windows" shall henceforth be used as the appropriate terminology for describing tint$!

Funny, because I almost put one of the posts above in my sig (because it was friggin hilarious)… it’s honestly like pulling sharp finger nails down a chalkboard…for me at least. I’ve ignored 18227565648390 posts that use this term, and this guy is just S.O.L. because he was the 18227565648391st person to post “tints”. It’s ugly sounding, and almost as stupid as saying our cars have headers. It’s a 4 banger. It’s a header.

Regardless, yes, a CW MKV looks hawt with window TINT, or with their windowS tinted.

If you are talking about your car, then it has an exhaust manifold with an integrated turbine housing, not a header... The 2.5l folks have headers, or a header if you're talking about a single 2.5l owner.

Using tints refers to the use of different shades of tint. So, if someone tinted their windows with 15% in the back and 35% in the front, it would be correct to refer to them (collective) as tints. Some people use a uniform percentage all around (e.g. all windows except windshield). If this is the case, then tint would be the correct usage. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Why don't you just say different shades of tint....or is it because life is way to fast and you can't just say it with 4 words sometimes
And Tint is plural already....
Tints, makes me think of taint....So yeah. You car smells like multiple taints

I figure if the shops that install the stuff call it TINT, then it's TINT. You don't see a place called "AltaMere Car Audio and Tints" or "Superior Window Tints." When I look at my receipt from aforementioned window tinting establishment, the itemized service is "window TINT," not "window tints."
Aside from the fact that it sounds goofy. It's window tint, or window tinting.

I don't like using the word tints myself because it sounds awkward. But, per that Google dictionary thing, tints is plural. It's not like fish where it acknowledges both singular and plural.
To the OP, sorry about the tint thing. I just thought I'd get this out there.

But seriously, tint on a CW GTI would look nice. Just don't make the mistake that I did and get 15%. It made night time driving dangerous in my poorly lit Los Angeles streets.
