Thought you would like to see pics of this. Location is perfect as long as the sunvisor isn't down. I don't have to look too far away from the road to see the boost gauge when I'm driving and all of the controls and functions are easy to get to. Something my brother-in-law came up with. Yes this is a later 2001 model with the airbags in the a-pillars - it just popped right off to run the wire down. The main module is mounted under the dash by the comfort control module and we tapped a vaccum hose at the drivers side coming off of the intake plenum for the boost readings. I'm actually quite surprised at how quickly the guage reacts to changes in boost. The accuracy of the gauge is a little questionable. Recommended 100% though.

Re: Pics Of Blitz DTT DC in GTi, New Spot? (AxeAngel)

Actually it is mounted to a thin piece of metal via some super duty epoxy. The piece of metal is then held in place by one of the bolts that holds the sunvisor up in place. We then attached some black felt behind the timer itself so you couldn't see the bare metal through the top of the windshield.

Who's install did you use for the Blitz? I am thinking of getting a turbo timer very soon.

My brother-in-law came up with the idea and it is 100% d.i.y. It was actually quite easy to mount the display up there. I recommend the Blitz, especially if you don't already own a boost gauge.
