which mkII had the best door cards. i'm trying to decice between new ones from wrecker or re-apolstering mine. only problem is that i have 4 doors, did the jetta ever have same cards as gti ? if you have pics could you pls post. are those the ones that come with the recaro int. they look the same as mine exept for the color (and mine are manual) i guess what i'm getting at is there such a thing as all black ones from the factory?

They are earlier ones.. so there is no leather on them, its all black burlap, with a chrome strip.
I originally had all blue ones but they were faded and the material was peeling off.
I was at a dub meet and a guy offered me these three black ones for 5 bucks each.. He told me they were cursed.
He said he had them for so long and was never able to find the fourth (drivers side).. so he had to get rid of them..
He was right.. Ive been rocking 3 blacks and one blue for almost a year now..
That last black one is tough.. and i havent found a decent material to recover my blue one either...

I'm betting he got the handles from "Cullen" (guy from Estonia here on vortex, sells parts that we can't get over here)

those are the recaro door panels.
Power window door panels can be converted to the manual windows. The rears look funky b/c there is a square cutout for the switch around the crank handle. The front power window panels don't have switch cutouts so you can cut your own hole for the crank. The rear of a manual window can probably be converted to a power window setup since the switch is larger than the hole for the crank. The crank and the switch use the same mounting point on the door. I just bought 4 manual cranks yesterday, I'll take a pic of the rear door panel when I put it back on.
