I kinda had the same thing happen to my jetta, only it ddint mess up the bottom of the door sill, err frame, whatever that is, it only got the door, and that little part of the front fender ,and it was actually a very easy fix, they fixed the fender, and put a new door skin on and that was it.
Here's what happened: I was driving on the main road wanting to make a left. I had no stop sign. The guy ,on the other hand, did and wasn't looking into the direction I was coming from and ran into me. Funny thing the guy only had a minor scratch in his fender!
This is what happened to my baby last Xmas. repair cost $6k + 2months (coz of the holidays) Now it's AS GOOD AS NEW! No one can tell it had been involed in an accident!
the car that hit me was a 02 Camry, it's front end was totally wreaked, coolant leaking, bumper fallen off, can't even move!
