well i was almost prepared to be shot down by the Vortex Mafia when i posted this up since i didn't do a search if this has been done before.
So get the ball rolling!! One of the nicest car i have at the top of my head is Rennsport's "Passalt". Seems to have unlimited amount of money and fickle change of taste.

As for the award, it's up to you moderators. Get some sponsors for a plaque or an exclusive polo T-shirt.

My idea would be for:
- a separate forum where owners can post their pics
- a panel of judges to judge the cars

sure why not? I think the judges can be the public. just set a poll at the end of a time period.

We can be more specific:
- Best watercooled VW owned by a member
- Best aircooled VW owned by a member
- Best Audi owned by a member
- Best other VWAG (e.g. Seat, Skoda) owned by a member
- Best non-VWAG car owned by a member
Five separate awards, but the same panel will judge it

Then you will have to be even more specific if you go that way 'cos best could mean fast but ugly? nice but slow? both? it will be too ambiguous.
And i am sure most people won't know what category their car falls in, watercooled or not. Then there will be problems sorting out wrong posts.
Jwelty.com has something like this but it's not a member thing.
They have a HOT VW of the month and FAST VW of the month.
My Suggestions, make it simple and idiot proof:
Fast VW
For show VW
Fast Audi
For show Audi

Well it depends on how well-presented the car is, and if it is modified it depends on the taste and functionality of the mods. If it's an older car which is entirely stock but in show condition, it counts too.

It's the sign of a bitter paranoid enthusiast who got a door ding in the same situation i described above

Now i only choose to park near expensive cars ('cos the owner will most probably be careful too). And I will give ample space for both front and back drivers when i do a parallel park. I rather give up the spot if it's a tight squeeze.
And I never park behind a jeep or a beat up wrangler. Those things reverse without seeing my low ass car.
