G60 and 16v flares are the same exact thing. The flares that came on 16v's say g60 on them. I believe they only came on '91 and '92.

I believe there are 16v flares and there are g60\2.016v flares. I have a set of g60\2.0 16v flares I just bought. haven't put them on. When I get my camera software (lost the stupid CD) I'll put my new ones on and compare them in pics. If you want.

i have a pic of the inside of my 91-92 16V GTI flares and they have "G60" stamped on them, so yes, they are exactly the same.
