I bought my Jetta a few years back and it came with this lame pin stripe down each side ending in some fruity swirly thingy near the tail lights. The whole thing seems to be just a magnet for wax to goop up in and looks like Crap. I finally got fed up and tried to pull it off this morning. But it is not comming off easily at all. What is the best way to get this junk off with out killing my paint?

i heard nail polish will losen it up but make sure to wash and wax after

I sure hope that you mean Nail Polish REMOVER!
That sounds a little scarry. Some one else have some advice?
any suggestions on removing the stripe itself?
A plastic scraper? Something?

If it is just the cheap tape kind, it should just peal off. It is was actually painted on, good luck...

try a hair dryer or heat gun if you have acces to one. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
