a fellow 'texer Snubunny has a 98 cabby with pinstripes that look like a$$. i want to take them off for her but im unsure how to do it, they are not painted on, i just dont want to start peeling without knowing what im doing, any pointers or kits thats i can use?

using compound on a polishing wheel would be the easiest solution. Go to any body shop supplier who carries 3M compound. If you dont have a polishing wheel you could do it by hand but it would be a pain. If the car is in good shape, after you compound I would recomend you glaze the spots you compounded. This would get out the haze(dull) look that the compound leaves . After you glaze, all you need 2 do is wax and then your finished. (3M makes glaze 2)

i bought an "eraser wheel" from an auto paint supply store. it was about $15 and it made short work of the pinstripe tape w/o harming the paint at all. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
