Im planning on getting a Piper cam, I was just wonder if anybody here has had any experince with these. I'm planning on getting the fast road cam (270) It claims 10bhp, which is one of the best I have seen so far...

Before you decide on that Piper I would look at ALL the hydro cam specs on this site. The Piper you picked is THE mildest cam on that site, There is much more choices that would make better power.

gotta remember though A1Rocco, depends on what he's lookin to get out of his 8V. I myself am looking just to give it a little more go, like on the open roads and the highway. Of course it's gonna be chipped.

the piper 285 looks like the hot ticket for me! anyone have a cheap slightly used one?

Yes, I realise that but it still doesn't change what I said. It is the smallest cam on that page for a hyro head. It has less lift then a stock 1600 solid lifter cam and hydro cams usually have more lift then a comparable solid cam to make up for the compression of the lifter.

I'm sure that would be a great choice, TT choose there cams with care and consideration and a lot of testing on a dyno. They may be a bit more but that's cuz they are researched.
