Re: Pix of my car in a GTG (Jetta_J)

Well, we live in tropical climate and typically the temp stays around 30 degrees. So it is cooler to have silver paint so that heats radiate off faster.

Actually we had a mixture of black & blue which I will try to post.
BTW, we just got the headlights fixed and it cost us USD 1.1k. We got the headlights directly from a VW part dealer and about USD 70 for the installation. Anyway we were inspired by the forum here, thanks a lot!!

Re: Pix of my car in a GTG (blackGTI)

Hi blackGTI
I guess we are a rare breed that went against the norm of owning a Japanese car. The VW cars are getting popular especially when we found out the tremendous no. of mod available.

However we share the same problems as Jetta, and that's rattling!! The agent behaves exactly the same way as those in the States. Guess VW had trained their agent to answer such problems with a universal excuse

You must have alot of money, because driving license alone cost over 10k and car price is about tripple in Singapore. am I right?

Re: Pix of my car in a GTG (soundzero)

Well not driving license but the certificate to register the car for the roads cost about USD 20k. So a typical Bora cost about USD 66k including this piece of paper and most people paid through their nose to own a car of their own.

So you guys are lucky to stay in a country that does not have stringent car restriction policies and owning a car of your liking is not that difficult. Imagine a Lexus GS300 cost USD 150k and a BMW 318 cost USD 88k.......
