I do not know tranny codes, but I am 80% sure i am going to swap in a manual this spring
(or rather have some do it for me)
the question is whether to...
get a G60 cable box in anticipation of going to a VR6 eventually,
or
sticking with the linkage style, maybe getting a 2.0 8v or 16 v down the road.
What are the limitations of getting a rebuild G60. I know they are older, but they are still good strong boxes, right?

02a g60 trannies can hold down way more power than a 020. I've got an extra 02a tranny/pedal assembly/cable shift if I ever go FI in the future.
