if i remember correctly, ther are more than 2 rubber bands holding it in. it's been awhile since i took mine out, but i think there is 3-4 rubberbands. and a little elbow grease to get her out of the little spot it's in.

Remove the upper black plastic shroud that fastens to the rad support. The air snorkel is under it. May be one problem. If you remove the right headlight you can see everything.
