Can somebody please post pics of different Vento Grills. I really cannot stand the factory one. I went thru my tuninzubehor catalog but I cannot find one that I really like. Please help
Well this is what I finally decided on. Did my research, tracked it down(no longer made), and is now at the body shop being painted Porcelain Blue with clear coat, mesh(which theres very little..whew)will be black with clear coat. A rare grill but with Mattig getting all the props these days, makes it hard for this to stick out......
. They are only selling the badged versions now and forever. The badgeless mold burnt and they have no plans to make more due to new body styles.
Want to thank Mike...passatrcr, for giving up this grill and keeping it in the Vortex community. We figured this is still one of the best lookin Jetta grills and he didnt want it going to waste so why not floss it on someone else's ride. Without him, I'm sure I'd still be looking or very undecided about what grill to get. Thanks bro.....http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

shh! that grill looks disgusting... don't listen to Steve, you don't want it... it's made out of cardboard...

Re: PLEASE HELP : VW Vento Grill (putang spangler)
quote:

is that made by that company in mexico? can't remember the name...transforma transformers, autobots something like that?

Your about right.....here is the "Transforma"(also called G.L.O-gee el oh) grill......
As you can see....the diffrence is the lip. The transforma(G.L.O) grill's top lip is skiny and the bottom lip is fat.....
On this grill "Eurobuni"(sp??)....which the badgeless are no longer in production.....it looks fliped....top lip is fat....bottom is thin.
I really, really wanted the transfroma grill. But there is just no way. Potterman was the last stop and I had talked to a lady there that broke all the info down for me.
She ended up leaving "transforma" and setting up their own store here.
Eurobuni has always been the maker.....transfroma was the store it was exclusive to....she left due to the fact that she got Eurobuni to give her better deals than the transforma company. Her white Jetta was the first to have the full kit. LOL....she said peeps called it the "Stay Puff Marshmellow". She was the one who told me that there were 2 molds....the badgeless and the badged. The place where the badgeless was stored burnt down.....no more mold and no more grills...:-(. The badged one was the last one left.
So the only peeps that are selling any G.L.O stupp is R.P.I. They actually told me that they are the only ones that can get that line..and at that...just the spoiler. Nothing else.
It seems like the design changed or maybe I got a later version of the grill. But the diff from the white Jet to the one I pictured above.....you can see the diffrence. So as for now I am considering it ...a discontinued G.LO grill unless someone can clear it up for me.
There are 2 Jets on the Tex that I have sen witht that whole kit...a blue one and a green one. Let's hope someone posts that. i can never get tired looking at it. I don't think I'd ever do the whole kit...just not my style, but it looks good.
Hey
Thanks soooo much guys. Im really not too fond of the mattig badgeless but I do like that transforma and the one on that grey golf with the jetta front end. can anybody tell me where i might be able to find them and for the best price. THANKS
