Rough Ideling. I recently installed a new set of neuspeed 260 cams, valve cover gasket, Bosch plugs with double tips and serpitine belt. This is the sitituation that I have right now. After installing the everything and putting the parts back together with the mechanic, BTW I was just assisting, We got CE light which give us a code for the cam sensor timing and I was getting a mild hesitation at about 2400RPm. The problem with the sensor was fixed two days later when the Mech. pulled the engine apart and got the sensor closer to the magnet and aligned the cams again. Now, after the second time around everything was fine with the CE. The car still had some mild hesitation, but pulled strong through 6400 RPm with no hesitation while climbing the RPM. The hesitation was felt at low RPm under 3k RPM.
Now, this weekend after changing the oil/filter and cleaning the Kn filters and adjusting the tension on the accelerator cable (did remove some of the plug wires while doing this) and cleaning the battery terminals (disconnected battery for a while) the car began to hesitate somewhat stronger, once I put everything back together. Now when I rev the car and let the tach settle back under 1000 rpm, the car will act as if it wants to stall, but it does not and it only hesitates under 1000 RPM, if I rev above 2000RPM nothing is felt and no back firing..
What could I have done wrong? The mechanic told me initiallly that the mild hesiitation could be due to one of the plugs that was not making good contact. Could this be the poblem? What of the Battery disconnection?
Thanks for the help in advance. Sorry for the length.
