I got this ECU while doing my VR swap supposedly it’s a 95 VR ECU, but before I put it in today I decided to take a look inside, now I’m wondering isn’t there suppose to be a chip installed in the empty socket? I know my 95 2.0l had a stock chip.

i was told the last letters are the version #. like an "A" would be version 1.0 and "AE" would be version 8.0
