Alright here is the problem, My car will not start until I unplug the coolant temp sensor. If I plug it in while the car is running it will die. If I let it warm up and then plug it in it still dies. I've replaced the coolant temp sensor, and checked all the wires leading to the plug. Does anyone have any idea? Please help the car has no power with the temp sensor not hooked up.
thanks

that's pretty odd. i'm assuming the ECU is normal? it kinda sounds like the car is in "limp mode." does it idle roughly? what does it do when it's running exactly? it's possible that you have a bad coolant temp sensor, i suppose, but that's a stretch.

it idles perfectly without the temp sensor plugged in, It wont even start if it is. I just replaced the sensor like two weeks ago. the ecu is an chipped with an autotech chip.
