Anyone ever run these:
NGK
R5672A-8
Its a 2 step colder race plug, projected tip. No resistor so it acts as only 1.5 steps colder.
Freind is running similar ones on his VF vr6 with good results.
Id run these on a genII kit, with FMIC and turboback.
My concern is the projected tip business.
These were recomended to me by an NGK rep after we took a look how the 7 range plugs were working in my car (BPM stock turbo).. Been running the BKR7E and BKR7E-IX They are clean, but a little TOO clean. Grey deposit not tan, which I guess is supposed to be normal.
Also, the irridium tips, are they meant to stay clean? I know on coppers, if the tip is too clean within a milimetre of the end, its supposed to mean too much advance.
