Pnuematic lifts with Carbon Fiber?????

Is this possible?? I have 2 lifts for my heavy factory hood. Is there a chance I can use these for a carbon fiber hood or even a fiberglass one? My hood has a tree branch dent and if i get a CF hood, I'll want to use the lifts. I don't want to have to reattach the hood bar and use that. Any help at all appreciated.
