Supersprint emailed us a picture of a set of headers made for an R32 race car in Europe. They wanted to know if we thought people would be interested in this product. We decided to put a post together and see what all of the Vortex R32 owners thought about this product.
Check out the picture and some specs below http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Info from our Supersprint rep:
- With a stock R32, horsepower gains would range from 12-14 horsepower and 8-10 ft lbs of torque
- These headers will not use a flex joint, instead they use the Supersprint spring loaded pivot point
- These headers will bolt up directly to the stock exhaust and include everything you need to utilize the factory o2 sensors
- As with all Supersprint products, you will get a high quality, well manufactured piece from a great name in the aftermarket industry
Please vote to let us know if there will be any interest in this product http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: Poll: Supersprint Headers for the R32? Brought to you ... ([email protected])

Here's some questions that you're gonna get from the angry, cheap, smarter-than-you-mob:
-How much?
-Group buy
-Group buy price
-Price for header-back system
-Materials
-Are new or replacement gaskets/hardware required?
-What's the install like?
-Warantee
-Pics
-DYNO
-4 wheel dyno
-By every major dyno maker
-Before and after dyno
-on the same stock car
-on the same day
-if you can go back in time to perfectly replicate the conditions http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
-Fitment with stock exhaust
-Fitment with other-than-SS exhaust
There's more. Get ready for a 5-pager.

I want to see dynos done to the car, with some testing, not just estimates. Otherwise, sounds like a pretty good mod. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Very true...Remember all the SC dynos out there are on stock exhausts...Add these babies with the Milltek hi flow cat center pipe and a catback and we'll be in business. My SC is goin in mid February. I'd definitely be interested in these!

Would like to see dyno proven gains and price first.
Aftermarket VR6 headers are notorious for costing an emense amount of
money and providing virtually no increase in horsepower over stock.

http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif what he said!....Im always cautious with the subject headers and the vr6. if there are actual gains, it would be a nice addition thats for sure.

Ian beat me to it-
With my experience in VR6 all motor performance I have yet to see any considerable gains with a header on the 12v VR6 and I have tried them all including a custom fabricated equal length header. Before spending any money on a set of headers for a 24v VR6 I would want to see those dyno's.
I would like to believe that the increased flow with the 24v may really benefit from headers but only a dyno will tell.
If you want to send me a set I can do independent before and after dyno sessions. I have plenty of dyno's available to me, AWD and single axle. Mustang and others.

Where quality is concerned, I put a set of Supersprint headers on my VW GTI with the 2 liter 16 valve motor. Did not dyno, but seat of the pants, made a nice improvement you could feel, particularly on the top end. As for quality, they were outstanding, used the same type ball/socket/spring loaded setup as the ones pictured above. They were expensive as I recall.
