Porsche & VW Team Up to make a Hybrid Car!?!?

Like the topic states... I just heard this on the Radio this mornin'. Porsche & VW have announced that they're going to team up to develop a Hybrid Car. I'm not sure if its only for the US since Gas is goin' through the roof but I'm pretty sure its gonna go global.
They announced this @ the Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany, today I believe.
Just wondering if this is old news or if someone has already heard about this?

It wouldnt be the first time porsche and VW have worked together so its not all that surprising.
