Ive heard this is good on G60's but havent heard a thing for it on a VR6. Well, is it worth it? What exactly is the advantage of this?
Anybody got it done?

Re: Ported VR6 throttle body??? (sickvr666)

on a abd1 vr its awesome. gives super fast throttle response, and some high end. same idea as the euro 2.9l, only the velocity one is bored out more i think

Re: Ported VR6 throttle body??? (sickvr666)

I have a Velocity TB... I ended up taking it off becuase it would cause my car to stall (possibly a bad combo between the Schrick intake, cams and software... but still looking into it).
When it was on though... holy heck.... the throttle response was amazing. Very quick... no lag (even if you think there isn't any now.... put this thing on, and you will see how much there is). I've been told it is all an illusion though... since it is just changing the way the car acts off idle. The material there in stock form, makes on and off idle transitions smooth. When you remove that material (and in Velocities case... remove so much that you actually have to build up material on the outside first), you remove the smoothness and are left with a cutting edge responsiveness you won't find in a Lexus.

... I think I will bolt it back on this weekend for fun.
