MY car clicks but the starter doesnt seem to wanna take it from the soleniod im thinking its the starter itself.. i VAG'd it and no codes came up also starter wiring.is not connected to ecu so no codes wud come up...

Clicking usually means not enough power. Definitely check the battery first (try jumping it)... and then I would assume it's the starter.

clicking could also mean there's a bad ground. Very typical for cold weather cars. Most likely you would have a code after about five trys on the ecu if you had a bad starter. Check your connections and pour some white vinegar on them and clean everything up nice and good. worth a try.

it was the battery the whole time... ha and we ****in jumped it with a G55 AMG it still didnt crank all it was needed a NEW batt.
