I have a 97 Golf GL. Is it possible to remove the rear sway bar from a GTI and install in my rear beam? Also do GTI's have a larger front sway bar? Can I install that also in my car? Thanks for the help.
Re: Possible to take GTI rear sway bar and install in Golf GL????? (1997 Golf GL)
no you can't take the sway bar out of the GTI because it's welded into the rear axle. If you're looking for a good low price rear sway bar get a suspension techniques one. I have one on my gold and love it and they're only $120 bucks. The GTI VR6 does have a larger front sway bar but I'm pretty sure it doesn't mount up to the 2.0L directly.
