what color you gonna do danny the manny? I wanted to get mine matched in silverstone but I never managed to pick up your steelies to use while they were coated so I could have my tires off and back on. Obviously, right? lol... Just glad to have safe tires now. Two blow-outs don't make me happy.

Re: (V84LNCH)

I was actually looking into doing this to my stock Wolf's BBS wheels. I was getting price quotes from 55 - 75 bucks. I was going to color match with my cool white and get a polished lip.
Does anyone one else have any price quotes? Or pics of the BBS powder coated white would rock!
I started looking/calling around for some steelies, and at 50 - 75 a pop for some steelies it was getting quite expensive to do this, so I seem to have put it on hold for now.

OK, here is how it goes:
The color that I got was satin black.
The process that the wheels went through are as follows:
1) Sandblast all of the OEM clearcoat
2) Powdercoat all 4 wheels and put them into the oven.
3) Pull them out and let them cool down to room temp.
4) Powercoat them again and put them into the oven.
5) Pull them out and let them cool down to room temp.
That was the whole process the wheels went through. Plus, the wheels were powdercoated all the way around inside and out. There was not one spot on the wheel that wasn't powdercoated.
The best thing about powdercoating is that it is 20 times stronger than paint and brake dust literally washes off with soap and water. I went for about 2 weeks without washing my car. When I finally got to washing it the wheels were dirty as all hell. I just sprayed them down, dipped my sponge into clean soapy water and washed them. Rinsed them and they were like brand new.

The company that did mine was QC Coatings
