a quick Q -
im in the home stretch of my head install.. ive got new lifters and was told by the engine machine shop to "pre-load" them before install; now, is this something that a local machinist could do? i assume so, why not, right?
a light load press should be able to do the job, am i correct?
a simple yes or no would do.. thanks

no, theyve come from GAP, and are shipped soaking in oil

i will give them plenty of time to "settle" (bleed down) before i place the head on block
