A friend is looking to get rid of a 1972 Mercedes 280 se 4.5. I have always been a huge fan of these cars. The car itself is in decent shape it runs great and only a slight vibration at highway speed. The body could use a little work and there is some underbody rust which is understandable for a midwest car that is 36 years old.
I am posting to find out if anyone has experience with these vehicles and if its a good idea in general. Also whats the best place to get the underbody rust taken care of.
