The underside of the body has been a long lasting job to work with! Fortunately my friend and I were able to build an MK2 chassis-tilt.

Seats are important! :)

These Recaro seats come from a Jetta GLI FWD, and therefore the rear seats are different.
Originally in my car the seats was fastened by two brackets in each top corner. But the rear seats of the FWD have a plate covering the back.
I welded on the plate from my donor vehicle : )

The seats:

Thanks bud!
Yeah, we got some cool options here! It has been delievered 6 of these Jetta Syncros to Norway as far as our VW importer knows :p
And most of the parts are similar to Country/Rallye:)

Nice project!
Seems like syncros always have more rust than their FWD counterparts.
Not necessarily, I have a Jetta fwd 1.6td which also are quite rusty 😕
But this car has been running on Norwegian roads which we salt during the winter. Its sad... but thats how our cars get eaten!

The manager of a local paint shop will come on wednesday to do an inspection of my Jetta for Painting.
So this weekend I'll be cleaning and preparing the chassis.
Hopefully they can give med a decent price, so I can focus my wallet on the VR6 rebuild this summer:p
