That's the cleanest rabbit i've seen in along time.
Looks great
Just a suggestion, If you're going to use motorcycle tb's (4 individual tbs), why not use a newer crossflow head?
It'll be easier to design a manifold for it & they'll recieve fresh cool air facing the radiator instead. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: Project Monster GTI almost done - Lots-o-pix (Digiracer)

I'll probably convert to a crossflow head later.. only reason i'm staying counterflow is that i've got about $1k into my 83GTI solid lifter head in porting and rebuilding and cam/springs etc.
so i'll go with what i've got for now and convert later if i see a need.. i may hit my HP/Torque targets without going crossflow in which case i'll probably just run it until the head needs rebuilding/replacing.

Re: Project Monster GTI almost done - Lots-o-pix (CHETVW007)

bottom end is just hiding in that pic.. its sitting on a solid oak pallet and the oil pan is hidden from view there.
the car was jacked up and put on jackstands first as high as i could get it.. then i went under there with a huge block of 12x12 wood on top of the jack and jacked it up even higher you can see the handle of the 3ton floor jack on the right hand of the picture

Damn, that's going to be one bad little car. What gears are you running with the 4.53? And is that a custom header or did you buy it somewhere? I need a nice header to go with my g60 once I get the new longblock together.
Nice work http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
