Project progress pics...almost there!!

Well, I was out in the garage this morning making last minute preparations for what will hopefully be a glorious day!!
Hopefully we'll be able to get this thing started today. I ran the new 8mm spark plug wires and did some cleaning...still lots of that to do though. I need to install the air filter and do a little wire splicing and hopefully that should be it. Anyway...on to the good stuff.



P.S. I'm leaving the bumper cover off until I take it to get it aligned...otherwise they'll never be able to get it up on the lift.

Very cool! Is the intake manny polished or chromed? I want to get my manifold painted black, but I keep seeing gorgeous motors like yours. Great work.

Nah...I've never street raced. I may check the scene out someday though...but I doubt I'll ever run.

LOL Thanks. Well, it started out as a great day today. Probably in the high 60s. Then around noon this wind came out of nowhere and was just blowing crap all over the place. So annoying. Anyway, thanks for the props guys. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Thanks. I picked the donar car up last May and the GTI up last July. I worked on stripping the Jetta (donar) for a few months. Then in late Sept. early Oct. I started stripping the GTI and swapping everything over. Just been taking my time and working on it on the weekends. Got a lot done over Christmas break too.
