This image was just passed to us from our friend Zerin at SpeedSportLife. He's not sure of the source, but the obvious story behind it is priceless. We can't help but thinking this or a variation of it would look fantastic in an Audi winter print ad.

Looks like they were summer tires on the Audi anyway.
They certainly dont look much like snows or all seasons with that tread pattern.

Exactly, if it was RWD, the back would step out a bit more.

It could also be noted that when the BMW tried to get up the hill there wasn’t as much snow as when the Audi did it as the BMW tyre tracks look like they have been snowed on since they were made.

Actually, looks like the front wheels slide back as the rear wheels lost traction, as in no xDrive.

The front wheel pattern would not be the same if it was RWD. A RWD car 'steps out' when the rear wheels spin, causing a pendulum like effect. This car slid in the same direction front AND rear wheels. It was spinning all 4 wheels.
It's Xdrive.

This is my pic from a year ago. BMW is RWD and Audi (my S4) had summer tires and they were pretty ****ed.

I would've guessed RWD... no spray from the front tracks.
