push button starter

Well, I was stupid to use the words I did in the other thread. I figured out how to wire the starter button... now does anyone know how to wire the acc to a toggle switch? So I can turn the acc on then use the starter button for the ignition? Thanks guys... lets keep this one clean. Sorry again.

Re: push button starter (scarecro)

Wow, I just love it when a guy asks a serious question and a bunch of ***** with nothing else better to do with their lives make dumb irrelevent posts when all the guy wants is a little help.
You people need to grow up. Why post so many dumb, irrelevant posts when it has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the topic. Oh wait, you want your post count # to be really high so a bunch of other people across the country will think you're so popular on the vortex boards. Sorry for the rant, but this crap is getting out of hand

as i stated before...
what push button start up?
Re: push button starter (scarecro)

You need to find the same wires that a starter kill would tap into when installing an aftermarket alarm. I would recommend stopping by the best alarm place by your house and asking them to point them out. Remember, you will need to add a relay and a fuse as the push button cannot handle the amperage on its own, you will start a fire and your car....

Re: push button starter (EuroStyle)

Thanks... I talked to a guy today and I think I have it all figured out. My only problem now is the locking mechanism in the ignition that requires the kew so the wheel won't lock.
Scare Crow - I am wiring my car so all I have to do to start it is flick a switch and push a button.

So what are you doing in terms of anti-theft? What's going to keep someone from busting in and simply driving off? At least with the locking ignition switch it slows them down a little as well as tripping the stock alarm.
Just don't want you to install the alarm after the fact like so many end up doing (guilty!)

Re: push button starter (Air_Cooled_Nut)

Before I play with the locking mechanism I will be installing a pretty nice UNGO alarm. Other than that, I am not sure to be honest. It will be okay though.
